The Matrix
Movie synopsis:
| In the near future, Computer hacker Neo is contacted by underground freedom fighters who explain that reality as he understands it is actually a complex computer simulation called the Matrix. Created by a malevolent Artificial Intelligence, the Matrix hides the truth from humanity, allowing them to live a convincing, simulated life in 1999 while machines grow and harvest people to use as an ongoing energy source. The leader of the freedom fighters, Morpheus, believes Neo is "The One" who will lead humanity to freedom and overthrow the machines. Together with Trinity, Neo and Morpheus fight against the machine's enslavement of humanity as Neo begins to believe and accept his role as "The One". |  |

The Matrix is probably one of the single greatest films ever created, depicting what the world would be like if it was run by machines.....machines with tentacles. The Wachowski brothers really did a good job at depicting the world in a post apocalyptic state and the level of survival that humans have to go to.
It also shows exactly how cool it would be to shove a giant needle into the back of your head and then fight with a black man.
I gave it plausibility 10 because.... well you never know really do you..

The Matrix is easily one of the best Action movies ever made. It was the first to feature the staple bullet time, and introduced a franchise that became very successful.
However, most people put this movie on their top 10 list or something, and i don't. The Matrix in my opinion is a good movie to watch and enjoy over popcorn and beer. The Matrix was a hit because it was the first of its kind of action film.

What can I say...
The first time I saw this film I nearly exploded with excitement.
I actually saw The Matrix several years after it came out, and it became my favourite film.
The story is interesting (and seemed so original to me), and the effects are just amazing (considering when it was made).
Watching the path of Neo unfold is just an amazing experience, right up to the final scene.
I actually watched this film so many times that I could recite the entire script. The story just never got old for me, I could easily watch this film 50 (or more) times and not get bored of it.
I think I would still consider it my favourite film. It's a must see for anyone, simply because of how revolutionary it was, it literally raised the bar for special effects.
I don't intend to give many (if any) films a 10 for overall, or epic factor because I believe 10 is perfect, and that's just unobtainable. But this film probably comes the closest to a 10 of all the films I have seen.
