| Food! |

For the first few days I was in the house, I was eating frozen meals.
I since realised they were lame, and that I actually really liked steamed vegetables and meat (which is what I have had for dinner for pretty much the past 20 years).
So I manned up and went out and purchased proper meat and proper vegetables (and apples!!)
Here is the very first dinner I have ever cooked entirely on my own:

It's pork and boiled vegetables (we don't have a steamer).
It's so interesting, I thought I would be bored of this food after having it for so long, but I found myself really wanting it, as plain as it is.
Thanks to Viraya for her advice on how to tell if the vegetables are cooked or not, because I couldn't work out how to do it myself.
The massive beer (it doesn't look it, but that can holds 1L of GERMAN BEER) was partially to celebrate, and partially because I was in a bottle shop with Ray earlier today and saw it and really wanted it.
Also since I started having frozen meals I got headaches, not sure if that's related, but they're gone now.
In other news at work today I had to deal with a huge retard and it made me very angry. To appreciate the retarderdness you need to know a small bit of electronics.
First understand what an electromechanical relay is. In retic they are used to start pumps. Basically the irrigation controller (that box you set dates and run times and stuff with) puts out 24VAC, which is used to operate the relay and start the pump motor. This idiot was under the impression that his controller "definitely puts out 240 volts". 240 volts, if you don't know, is more or less mains voltage (it's closer to 230 nowadays). All controllers put out 24VAC to the solenoids and any relays or whatever. Basically, on the screw block terminal you will never encounter a voltage greater than 24VAC. Moreover, it's illegal for this to be that case.
This retard would refuse to listen. I even confirmed that he had a standard relay by asking if he had a "box that went click", to which he responded "yes", but refused to believe that click was caused by a coil operating at 24VAC.
I told him to take a photo of his controller and bring it in. God, I hope he does so I can point out what an idiot he is.
It's not so much that he didn't understand how stuff worked, that's fine, what pissed me off is that when I told him how it actually did work, he refused to listen and insisted he was right. I should have asked how he tested that his controller put out 240V, because I am willing to bet he does not know how to operate an kind of equipment for measuring voltage.
Yeah whatever. Rant over.
Might pass out on the couch in my work clothes to speed up the getting ready process tomorrow morning.
Later folks!
