If you know me (not necessarily) well, you will probably be aware that when it comes to explaining things (anything, really) I tend to opt for the more logical and rational explanation (IE explanations that can be derived from known natural laws), and disregard explanations of the nature '[supernatural deity/concept] did it'.
I may have to reconsider that, though, given the chain of events regarding my workplace. Let me break it down for you:
June/August 2008: Watershed Malage opens. Lara Sanders is the manager and first employee.
June/August 2008: Bill Michels is employed.
August 2008: I am employed.
Late 2008/Early 2009: Bill moved to Morley store.
Early 2009: Luke Bogue employed, good times follow.
Mid 2009: Lara and Luke have a fight, Lara leaves.
Mid 2009: New manager, Rob Giglia is moved from Subiaco to Malaga.
Mid 2009: Luke 'fired' from Malaga for driving the work ute without a license (this kind of wasn't his fault).
Late 2009: John employed. Now everyone in the store has a beard of some sort, things are terrific.
Now: John and Rob potentially (very potentially, actually) being relocated to Kelmscott store due to manager quitting.
WHAT THE HELL? is is impossible for anyone (except me, of course) to last more than a year in this store!? I can't get over how many people have come through it in such a short time.
Perhaps the best explanation for this phenomenon is beard length. I notice that I've been there the longest, and I have the biggest beard. I'd say this is the best explanation.
But seriously what the hell. I hope John and Rob don't get moved because they're both pretty awesome to work with. I also don't want them to move because the new manager and assistant will be from Total Eden up the road (one of them was the manager there, and the other the 2IC). So argh! I'm getting rather sick of the staff constantly changing. I get used to one person's way of doing things, and then we get another!
I am going to consider leaving, if this keeps up.
