So our old vacuum cleaner 'broke'. It probably wasn't broken, Mum just didn't understand what was wrong with it, but I wasn't going to argue because she is impossible to argue with, even over something like mathematics.
So she got a new one,

Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking 'Holy crap that things looks like it is the greatest God damn cleaning device ever'.
And indeed, it is pretty good. Most vacuum cleaners have one feature that always disturbs me though. This cleaner is no exception.

That dial. It should not exist. You should have no choice over how strong your cleaner should suck because it should always be sucking at maximum capacity. In fact it should be sucking at more than maximum and be in danger of exploding at any second.
It would seriously be unjust to use this cleaner on anything but max, because it works so well. I have used many vacuum cleaners in my life and this one is up there, seriously it's good.
Now I know some sissies like to turn down the power for cleaning 'delicate' things. That's stupid, I clean my Rubik's cubes with this bad boy, I've never had a problem. In fact, I cleaned around my potato with no damage either. If you can't use a vacuum cleaner on max, you can't use a vacuum cleaner, end of story.
On an unrelated note:

These biscuits are awesome! I don't know what they are exactly but they are nice.
I went to Lab 2.01 in UWA's computer science building to test out my databases assignment today. That was a performance. I sat down and attempted to log in, it wouldn't let me. I remembered something about accounts needing to be set up, so I asked Nick (databases lecturer), lucky he was there actually. He told me to boot the machine in Linux (holy crap I didn't even know they had Linux on them) and log in as 'bookings' using the password 'bookings', so I did that, and a page I recognised from last year came up. I told me to enter my pheme (it's this thing UWA has) username/password, so I did, then it gave me my CSSE username/password. So I was all 'sweet, let's do this'. So I logged out (funny, there was no clear way to log out, I just did it by killing the X server, dunno if that is how we are meant to do it...) so I tried to log in with my new password. Nothing.
I spent 30 minutes messing around with it (I didn't want to bother Nick again) and eventually it just worked for no reason.
Turns out the computers also triple boot Linux, Windows and OSX. I never knew that!
So whatever, I tested my databases stuff, and to my utter amazement it all worked straight away. I didn't have to modify anything.
Huzzah for PHP.
Also check this out. It's the teams for the assignment I just finished.
Respect to:
Marshall, Brian
Cannon, Andrew
Putra, Fendy Dwi
Westerlund, Mikael
Burford, Michael
For being hardcore and doing a 4 person assignment by themselves! I should probably arrange a time and place to high five these guys.
Also I like this guy's name:
KHONG, ANDREW WAI FOO
I especially like how it is in capital letters too. I have never understood why, but some UWA students seem to have their names recorded in all capitals.
And what's up with this guy's name:
Nirmaljit Singh(N.Singh), Malinderjit(Malin)
Why does he get brackets and stuff?? What the hell.
That actually reminds me of a surname I saw on someone's leavers jacket once. I can't remember their first name, but the surname was:
Kitykundamrongporn
Holy crap what a surname.
