I just completed a databases assignment intend for 4 people in under 24 hours!
Holy crap what do I win?!
Actually to be fair it's not entirely finished, I still have to write boring documentation stuff, but that won't take more than an hour or so.
The most important thing is that I get to play ITG tonight!!
The assignment was actually pretty demanding... we had to design a database from scratch using MySQL and write an application layer for it (I did mine in PHP, hot damn I knew I was being smart when I decided to learn PHP+MySQL in year 10). My final application layer is about 1400 lines of code.

Probably my favourite part of the assignment was writing the code that could turn something like this:

Edit: Damn, I forgot that would happen. Here's a link to one of the actual files I used in the assignment.
Into a 2D array in which you can use the position of the table elements in the table to reference them. For example: table[0][0]=1, table[0][1]='New York'
I don't actually know how we were expected to do that bit... or if we can even be marked on it, given that it has very little to do with maintaining a database. Still cool though.
All you Java programming people should be thinking about how you can solve this problem too!!
Now I just have a probability test on Thursday, and a Data Structures and Algorithms assignment due on Monday. YEAH LET'S DO IT! C'MON!.
Oh and there's some in-lab test thing for Data Structures... that'll be fun, using Macs.
